Please meet the adorable Sally! All our dogs require very special homes – but Sally needs an extra special one with extra special love and she so so so deserves the very best of everything! We intend to ensure she gets this too!
Sally came into our care around 7 weeks ago via our Vet after she was handed in as a stray – she was in a very bad way and they assumed that she may possibly have been involved in a road traffic accident – of course we shall never be sure how she received her injuries – but she had a fractured neck and her one eye had erupted! I went to meet her after she had been at the Vets for about 4 days – she was obviously terrified but she so just wanted to be loved – she had fought so so hard to survive, despite being terrified she was so loving and friendly and we felt she deserved a chance – despite the inevitable costs to rescue!
We took her into our care and she went into one of our very best foster homes, the following day she was booked into our regular Vets for assessments – they said she was the luckiest dog in the UK to be alive with her neck fracture – unfortunately after taking advise we were unable to save her eye and this was duly removed a few days later – she was so much happier after her operation and has thrived ever since – so Sally now only has one eye but she is coping well with this! We then waited 6 weeks to x ray her neck again and this is now healed. Fortunately she appears to have suffered no nerve damage due to her fracture and is thriving! Sally then had a false pregnancy which really upset her – but she is over this now and she will be speyed at the soonest opportunity now to avoid a repeat of this.
Despite having only one eye – we think Sally is beautiful and cannot see that someone will not fall in love with her and love her unconditionally for her and her personality for the rest of her life.
Sally is completely house trained, a really loveable, really friendly girl, who loves to have cuddles on the sofa, ok to be left for a few hours, knows some basic commands, travels great in the car, loves to play.
Sally is not good with other dogs and so she is looking for her forever home as only doggie. She is currently in an experienced foster home with a cat – however – we feel it best she does not live permanently with cats – so consideration will only be given to pet free homes for Sally. Dog savvy well behaved Older children would be ok but we will not home Sally with young children – she needs an active but quiet home.
Sally will benefit from lifetime rescue back up and support from us – we would ideally like to re-home Sally locally in the West Midlands – she is one special girlie and we are looking for one special home for her.
IF you are that special person and would like to help Sally then please get in touch.
